conference Proposals

With 2024 right around the corner, Mente has officially started planning for the Seventh Annual Mente Summit this upcoming spring. Today we are reaching out for your help.

Mente is thrilled to announce Oregon Colleges and Universities are invited to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to host the Sixth Annual Mente Summit.

Not sure what the Mente Summit is?

The Mente Summit is a day-long conference that gives self-identifying Latinx male high school and college students in the state of Oregon, an opportunity to connect with professionals, and community leaders that address, and explore solutions to many of the educational inequities and barriers students encounter. Throughout the course of one day, students will start building a professional network, gain knowledge on college application processes, learn about scholarships, and hear from speakers with similar life experiences.

The selection process of the host site will be made based on the priorities of Mente, including but not limited to: access to a liaison from the university, affordability, accessibility, and mission/values alignment. Interested parties will respond with a PDF proposal that outlines your ability to help create a one-of-a-kind experience for our self-identifying Latinx male students throughout the state of Oregon.

Submission due date: October 15th, 2023

Proposal decision date: November 1st, 2023

All proposal submissions should be sent to Alex Rangel, MHP Coordinator via email. If anyone has questions please feel free to contact Alex directly.
